This is a spin off of my Turkey Chili recipe!
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
6-7 chopped peperoncino
1 pound ground venison
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons curry
2 basil leaves
salt to taste
1/2 cup salsa
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 (15 oz) can corn
1 (12oz) can northern white beans
-Make sure to top with cheeses or sour cream;)
INSTRUCTIONS
Place oil in a large pot and place over medium high heat. Add in ground meat, cooking until no longer pink. Next add in half of the chili powder, curry, onion powder and garlic. Add salt to taste. Stir until mixed in. Next add in salsa, beef broth, peperoncino, northern white beans and corn. Top it with basil leaves and push in chili so that the leaf is fully covered by the fluid. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings. Serving 4.
